Delhi Tightens Security as Protests and Detentions Continue

Delhi Police put more officers and several rows of barricades near Jantar Mantar before a planned march.

There were also protests about a complaint from three women journalists.

The journalists alleged that police officers sexually harassed them during an October 3 protest.

Delhi Police said the complaints were sent to the Crime Branch for an inquiry.

Some protesters later gathered to ask about the complaint and whether an FIR would be filed.

Police detained protesters after a clash, according to the report.

Protesters said officers treated them badly and used sticks, including against women and a disabled person.

Police also detained members of a student group protesting Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and changes to electoral rolls.
