Tulsi Vivah 2025: Celebrating the Sacred Union on November 2

Tulsi Vivah is a special Hindu festival where people celebrate the wedding of Lord Vishnu to a holy plant called Tulsi.

This happens right after a day called Dev Uthani Ekadashi, when it's believed Lord Vishnu wakes up after a long sleep.

The story behind it is about a powerful demon king whose wife, Vrinda, was very devoted.

Lord Vishnu tricked Vrinda, which led to the demon king's death.

Because of this, Vrinda cursed Vishnu and then died.

To make amends, Lord Vishnu promised to marry Vrinda in her next life as the Tulsi plant.

This festival marks the end of a four-month period of rest for Lord Vishnu, and after this wedding, many happy and auspicious events like weddings can begin again.

Married women often perform this puja for the good health and long life of their husbands and families.
