Verdict Awaited in 12-Year-Old Vishal Kumar Murder Case
A long time ago, in 2012, a young man named Vishal Kumar was killed by a group of people.
Vishal was part of a student organization called ABVP.
The people who hurt him were part of another group called Campus Front of India (CFI).
The CFI is linked to a bigger organization called Popular Front of India (PFI), which the government has banned.
The court is going to decide what happens to the people who did this after a very long time.
The family of Vishal and his supporters have been waiting for 12 years to find out what the court says.
The court will make its decision on December 30th.
Vishal Kumar, a 19-year-old ABVP activist, was murdered by CFI members during a student event in 2012.
The case was initially investigated by local police but later transferred to the Crime Branch due to delays.
Twenty individuals, including a minor, were accused in the case, with the prosecution alleging a criminal conspiracy.
The court reserved its judgment on 17th December, with the verdict to be delivered on 30th December.
The prosecution relied on Vishal's dying declaration, eyewitness testimonies, and recovery of weapons to build its case.
