Karnataka Minister Warns of Action Over Form-7 Misuse

Priyank Kharge, a minister in Karnataka, spoke about forms used to ask officials to remove people from voter lists.

He said some forms may have been used wrongly.

He questioned how many forms already filled with voters’ details were obtained.

Kharge claimed that some living people were incorrectly described as dead, and some residents as people who did not live there.

He said some people later asked officials to withdraw the applications.

He warned that people who break election rules could face legal action.

He also alleged that some religious and social communities were being targeted more than others.

The article does not include the BJP’s response to his allegations.
