AM/NS India Licenses Steel Slag Technology for Road Construction
Imagine making roads using stuff that's usually thrown away from making steel!
AM/NS India got permission to do this.
They'll use special technology to turn leftover steel bits (steel slag) into road building blocks.
These blocks are stronger and cheaper than the usual ones.
They already made a road using this method, which is now in the India Book of Records.
This helps the environment by reusing waste and makes roads that last longer.
It's part of a plan to recycle and create a circular economy.
AM/NS India secured the first license for CSIR-CRRI's steel slag valorization technology.
The technology processes steel slag for use as aggregates in road construction, replacing natural aggregates.
Processed steel slag aggregates are more durable and cost-effective than traditional materials.
AM/NS India's 'AM/NS Aakar' meets CSIR-CRRI's technical guidelines and is used in road projects.
The initiative supports India's circular economy and 'Waste to Wealth' mission.
