HackersEra Supports Sierra.ev AIS-189 Cybersecurity Type Approval Readiness
HackersEra worked with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd.
to improve the cybersecurity of the Sierra.ev electric SUV.
The teams tested the whole vehicle and its individual electronic control units.
They also worked with suppliers that provide parts and software.
When they found security risks, they created fixes and tested those fixes.
The work follows India’s AIS-189 cybersecurity requirements.
It is meant to prepare the Sierra.ev for vehicle type approval.
The announcement does not say that approval has already been granted.
The companies said the goal is to make connected electric vehicles safer and more trustworthy.
HackersEra collaborated with Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. on cybersecurity assurance for the recently launched Sierra.ev.
Testing covered the vehicle and individual electronic control units, with coordination across Tier-1 and Tier-2 suppliers.

The work is intended to position the Sierra.ev for AIS-189 cybersecurity vehicle type approval, not announce approval itself.
