Foresters Fan Across Gudalur Jungles After Second Tiger Killing

Foresters Fan Across Gudalur Jungles After Second Tiger Killing

A tiger killed an older man in the Lauresten area on Friday evening.

The victim was 56-year-old Ravichandran.

This was the second similar killing there in about two weeks.

Forest workers had already placed cameras and watched the area.

They had not been able to find the tiger.

After the latest killing, more teams began searching the jungle.

They also placed cages and cameras at around 40 points.

Some local organizations called for a 48-hour shutdown to protest the forest department.

Residents are worried and want the tiger’s movements traced.
