L&T Secures Large ONGC Offshore Order for West Coast Projects
L&T has won a large offshore energy contract from ONGC.
The project is worth between ₹2,500 crore and ₹5,000 crore.
It concerns two offshore developments called Ratna-I and NLM-14.
These projects are located off India’s west coast.
L&T will build three well-head platforms and one riser platform.
It will also install subsea pipelines and cables.
Some existing offshore facilities will be changed or upgraded.
The overall goal is to help ONGC produce more energy from its existing offshore fields.
L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore secured an order from ONGC valued at ₹2,500-5,000 crore.
The contract covers additional development of the Ratna-I and NLM-14 projects off India’s west coast.
Work includes three new well-head platforms, one riser platform, subsea pipelines and cables.
L&T will also modify existing offshore facilities and handle engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning.
The projects are intended to enhance production from ONGC’s established offshore assets.
