Gold, Silver Futures Dip on Weak Demand and Global Cues
Gold and silver are metals that people buy and sell in markets.
On Friday, the price of gold and silver went down a little.
This happened because people in India were not buying as much, and some traders were selling to lock in profits.
The same trend was seen in the United States, where the prices also fell a bit.
Because of this, many traders decided to hold back from buying new lots of gold or silver, making the market a bit cautious.
Gold futures fell 0.56% to Rs 1,44,022 per 10 grams on the MCX.
Silver futures slipped 0.37% to Rs 2,19,150 per kilogram on the MCX.
The decline was linked to weaker spot demand and profit‑booking by traders.
Internationally, gold futures were 0.69% lower at USD 4,075 per ounce, silver 0.70% lower at USD 58.57.
Market sentiment was cautious, with reduced fresh positions amid subdued demand.
