Australia Invites Israeli President After Bondi Attack
The Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, called the President of Israel, Isaac Herzog.
He invited him to visit Australia.
This is because there was a very bad attack at a Jewish celebration on Bondi Beach.
Fifteen people were killed, and many were hurt.
The attackers were inspired by bad ideas and targeted the Jewish festival.
Mr. Herzog said he would accept the invitation.
He also mentioned that a group in Australia, the Jewish community, invited him too.
So, he will visit Australia.
A young police officer, Jack Hibbert, was hurt in the attack but is now recovering at home.
The Australian government is also facing criticism for how it has handled rising antisemitism.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese invited Israeli President Isaac Herzog for an official visit following a terrorist attack at a Hanukkah event on Bondi Beach.
The attack resulted in 15 deaths and over 40 injuries, with authorities describing it as an antisemitic terrorist attack inspired by Islamic State ideology.
Herzog accepted the invitation, noting it was extended by both the Australian government and the Jewish community.
