Focus Features Pushes Inde Navarrette for Oscars 2027
Focus Features is planning to promote Inde Navarrette for a major acting award.
The campaign is for her role in the movie Obsession.
The movie’s team still has to choose which Golden Globes category to enter.
It could enter the drama category.
It could also enter the musical-or-comedy category.
Horror movies have sometimes done well in that less traditional category.
Get Out was one example.
That movie later received four Oscar nominations, and Jordan Peele won for its screenplay.
Focus Features plans to lead an Oscars 2027 Best Actress campaign for Inde Navarrette.
The campaign centers on Navarrette’s performance in Obsession.
Focus Features and the filmmakers have not decided Obsession’s Golden Globes category.
The film could compete in the Globes’ drama or musical-or-comedy race.
Get Out previously competed in the musical-or-comedy category and later earned four Oscar nominations, with Jordan Peele winning Best Original Screenplay.
