Delhi Leaders Inspect Satya Niketan Collapse Site, Promise Accountability

A building collapsed in Delhi’s Satya Niketan area, and rescue teams are searching for people who may still be inside.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa visited the site.

Sirsa said officials would find out who was responsible.

The National Disaster Response Force and fire department are leading the rescue work.

Fire officials said about 12 people had been brought out.

They were also checking the basement because workers may have been there during renovation work.

A nearby old building was considered unsafe, so temporary columns were added to support it.

Traffic police asked people to avoid the area so ambulances and rescue vehicles could move freely.
