Global Markets Witness Extreme Volatility
Gold and silver prices dropped a lot after they reached really high values.
This happened because investors decided to take some of their profits after a long time of increasing prices.
Even though these metals dropped, they are still doing much better this month than usual.
Meanwhile, the stock market was a bit mixed.
Some companies like Microsoft had a bad day, while others did well.
The Federal Reserve, which controls interest rates in the US, decided to keep rates the same for now.
All of this is happening because there are a lot of uncertainties in the world, like political problems and worries about the economy.
The US dollar got stronger, which also affected the prices of gold and silver.
There was a lot of buying and selling in a short time, which made the markets very volatile.
Some people are also worried about who might be the next leader of the Federal Reserve, which added to the uncertainty.
Gold prices dropped nearly 6-8.7% to $5,100-$5,183.21 per ounce after reaching a record high of $5,595.
Silver prices tumbled over 6-11.9% to $106.8-$109.55 per ounce, despite being up over 50-68% this month.
The US dollar strengthened, adding pressure on metals as a stronger greenback typically erodes demand.
The Nasdaq 100 dropped 1.2-2.4%, led by a tumble in technology stocks due to concerns over an AI bubble crash.
Metal stocks like Hindustan Zinc, Vedanta, Hindustan Copper, and NALCO saw significant declines due to the sell-off in precious metals.
