Former CDS Chauhan Warns Pakistan Remains India’s Security Concern
General Anil Chauhan said Pakistan will continue to worry India because of terrorism across the border and nuclear weapons.
He explained that nuclear weapons may prevent a large war but can still allow smaller conflicts to happen.
He called this situation a stability paradox.
He also said the world is becoming less predictable because old power balances are weakening.
Technology is changing so quickly that armies must adapt faster.
Future wars may involve computers, satellites, electronic systems, economic pressure and information campaigns.
Countries must decide how much to spend on traditional forces and newer areas such as cyber and space.
Chauhan said India needs new plans and doctrines to prepare for these changes.
