German Ministers Sued Over Afghan Deportations from Pakistan
Some groups are suing two German government leaders because they think the leaders are not doing enough to help Afghan people in Pakistan.
These Afghans were approved to move to Germany but are now being deported back to Afghanistan by Pakistan.
The groups suing the leaders believe that the German government should be protecting these people.
The groups argue that the German government is failing to prevent the deportations of Afghans.
The lawsuit mentions that some of the people who were sent back to Afghanistan could be in danger from the Taliban.
The German government is talking to the Pakistani government about the situation and may soon decide what to do.
Rights groups have filed a criminal case against Germany's foreign and interior ministers.
The case alleges the ministers failed to protect Afghan nationals in Pakistan with German admission approvals from deportation.
More than 400 approved for relocation have been arrested in Pakistan, with 34 already deported.
Deportees face risks of imprisonment, mistreatment, or execution under Taliban rule.
German ministries are in contact with the Pakistani government and expect decisions soon on the admission program.
