Apple Plans OLED Displays for iPad and Mac
Apple is planning to use OLED screens in more of its iPad and Mac computers in the next few years.
OLED screens make colors look more vibrant and blacks look deeper.
The iPad mini and MacBook Pro might be the first to get these new screens, possibly starting in 2026.
The iPad Air and iMac will follow later, maybe in 2027 or 2028.
Right now, only iPhones, Apple Watches, and some iPad Pros have OLED screens.
Apple plans to introduce OLED displays in iPad mini, iPad Air, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac between 2026 and 2028.
OLED screens offer deeper blacks, higher contrast ratios, and more vibrant colors compared to traditional LCD panels.
The iPad mini and MacBook Pro are expected to be the first devices to adopt OLED displays, possibly starting in 2026.
The iPad Air's transition to OLED is expected to happen in 2027 at the earliest.
The iMac with an OLED display is planned for 2027 or 2028.
