NDA Defends New Rural Employment Act
The NDA leaders are defending a new law called the VB-G RAM G Act, which replaces the older MGNREGA law.
This new law guarantees 125 days of work each year for families in villages, up from 100 days.
It also includes provisions for weekly compensation for laborers and transparent monitoring of work and payment.
The leaders say this law will strengthen the rural economy and help India become a developed nation by 2047.
They also defend the renaming of the scheme, saying it aligns with Mahatma Gandhi's vision of developing villages.
The opposition, however, criticizes the Act, alleging it is a political move and opposes all good work done by the NDA government.
The opposition is also irked by the inclusion of Lord Ram's name in the new Act, seeing it as a political move rather than a beneficial change.
The new law aims to address past issues of corruption and ensure better staffing, training, and monitoring.
States have been given flexibility to declare a 60-day work pause during peak farming seasons.
The Congress and AAP are running campaigns against the new law, alleging it is a historic reform to secure livelihoods in villages and that the Congress is spreading misinformation.
Bihar NDA leaders defended the VB-G RAM G Act against opposition criticism, highlighting its benefits for rural development.
The Act guarantees 125 days of wage employment per rural household annually, up from 100 days under MGNREGA.
It includes provisions for weekly compensation for laborers and transparent monitoring of work and payment.
The renaming of the scheme to VB-G RAM G Act is defended as aligning with Mahatma Gandhi's vision of developing villages.
The opposition criticizes the Act, alleging it is a political move and opposes all good work done by the NDA government.
