Delhi Teen Dies After Alleged Assault Over Theft Suspicion
Ram Kumar was an 18-year-old man from Kalandar Colony.
Police said truck drivers suspected that he and four others were trying to steal things from trucks.
The drivers allegedly beat Kumar on August 29 in the Bhalswa Dairy area.
His family took him to Burari Hospital the next day.
Doctors found several bruises and a cut on his hand.
They did not find a vital or grievous injury at that time, according to police.
Kumar was treated and sent home.
He later died at a Delhi hospital nearly two weeks after the alleged beating.
