Indiana Flooding Kills 5, Rescues 90 as Rivers Shatter Records

There was a big flood in a state called Indiana.

It rained a lot, with more than 11 inches of rain in just two days in some places.

That is a whole lot of water falling from the sky.

The rivers got so full that they spilled over their banks.

Water came into towns and neighborhoods.

Sadly, five people lost their lives in the flood.

Rescuers worked very hard to help keep people safe.

They saved about 90 people, pulling some out of the rising water in a city called Indianapolis.

In some towns, the river got higher than it had been in more than 100 years.

The water levels broke records that had been set back in 1913.
