Chennai to Install IoT Sensors for Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring
Imagine Chennai is getting a bunch of special helpers, like tiny robots, to watch the air.
These helpers, called IoT sensors, will measure the air to see if it's clean.
They will check for things like tiny particles and gases that can make us sick.
There will be 75 of these helpers all over the city, especially in busy places.
The helpers will send their information to a special center, and everyone can see the data on their phones or computers.
This will help the city make better decisions about air quality and keep everyone healthy.
The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) is installing 75 IoT sensors for air quality monitoring.
The sensors will collect real-time data on pollutants, temperature, humidity, and light.
Locations were selected based on population density, traffic, and industrial activity.
Data will be available to the public via websites and mobile apps.
This project aims to improve public health and Chennai's climate resilience.
