Bihar Exit Polls Predict NDA Sweep, Poor Debut for Prashant Kishor's Party
In Bihar, elections have just finished, and experts who study elections have released their predictions, called exit polls.
These polls suggest that the ruling alliance, called NDA, will win a lot of seats and keep their power.
The opposition alliance, called Mahagathbandhan, is expected to get fewer seats than they did last time.
A new party led by Prashant Kishor, called Jan Suraaj, is predicted to win very few, possibly even zero, seats in its first election.
The people of Bihar voted a lot, with high turnout in both voting days.
The final results will be known when the votes are counted on November 14.
It's important to remember that exit polls are just predictions and don't always turn out to be correct.
Nine exit polls predict a substantial victory for the ruling NDA in Bihar.
Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party is projected to win very few, possibly zero, seats in its electoral debut.
NDTV's aggregated poll of polls suggests NDA will secure 147 seats, Mahagathbandhan 90, and Jan Suraaj 1.
High voter turnout was recorded in both phases of the Bihar Assembly elections.
Vote counting for the elections is scheduled for November 14.
