India's Real Estate and Private Equity Markets Show Growth in 2025

In 2025, India's private equity market had a big comeback in the last quarter with investments growing by 44% to $3.7 billion.

However, for the whole year, investments were down by 24% compared to 2024.

Technology companies got the most investment, but even that was a bit less than the year before.

Raising money for investments was also down, hitting the lowest point since 2017.

But there's hope because the money raised since 2022 could help future deals as things get better.

Meanwhile, the real estate sector received a record equity capital inflow of $14.25 billion, higher by 25% annually.

Land and development sites attracted over 46% of the total inflows, followed by investments into built-up office assets.

Developers and institutional investors remained bullish on growth potential.

The industrial and warehousing sector also showed remarkable resilience, with leasing activity reaching 36.9 million sq ft, marking a 16% year-on-year growth.

Delhi NCR and Chennai emerged as the primary engines of this growth.

Experts think the next growth will come from things like digital logistics, clean energy, and new technologies like AI.
