India Expands Consular Services in US with New Centers
India is opening new offices called ICACs across the US to help Indian citizens with things like passports and visas.
These new offices are in different cities like Dallas and Boston.
This makes it easier for people to get these services without traveling far.
The new centres will be open six days a week.
This is part of India's effort to better serve its citizens living in the US and strengthen the connection between India and its citizens abroad.
India has launched eight new Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) across the US.
These centers are located in Boston, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Edison, Orlando, Raleigh, and San Jose.
An additional center will open in Los Angeles soon.
The ICACs will provide services including passports, visas, and OCI applications, enhancing accessibility for the Indian diaspora.
All 17 ICACs will operate six days a week, including Saturdays, for greater convenience.
