HC Questions Mumbai Police on Security Reduction for NCP Leader's Family
The Bombay High Court is asking the Mumbai Police why they reduced the security for the family of a late leader named Baba Siddique.
His family, including his son Zeeshan, had high-level security, but it was reduced to just two police officers.
The court wants to know why this happened, especially since Baba Siddique was killed last year.
The family thinks the reduction in security might be related to the murder.
The court is also looking into why the police did not collect important information about the case.
They will continue the hearing on December 16.
Bombay High Court questioned the reduction of security for the family of late NCP leader Baba Siddique.
Security for Zeeshan Siddique was reduced from Y+ level to two constables.
The court sought minutes of the Threat Perception Committee (TPC) meeting to evaluate security threats.
Shehzeen Siddique, the widow, filed a plea for a court-monitored SIT probe into the murder.
The court noted that the murder occurred after the security cover was reduced and questioned the reasons behind it.
