Mumbai's Gokhale Bridge Reopens After Reconstruction
Imagine a bridge that helps people get from one side of a city to the other.
In Mumbai, there was a bridge called the Gokhale Bridge, but it had to close because it broke a bit.
It took a long time, about seven years, but they rebuilt it!
This new bridge is bigger and better, with lanes for cars and paths for people to walk on.
It was a bit tricky because they had to fix another bridge nearby to make sure everything lined up correctly.
Now that it's open, it's much easier for people to travel across that part of the city, helping with traffic.
The Gokhale Bridge in Mumbai's Andheri is fully operational after a reconstruction project.
The bridge was closed for seven years after a 2018 collapse.
The reconstruction involved demolishing the old structure and building a new one.
The Barfiwala flyover was lifted to align with the Gokhale bridge approach roads.
The bridge is expected to improve east-west connectivity in the area.
