NCW Member Flags Inadequate Security at Bengal Hospital
A member of the National Commission for Women (NCW) visited a hospital in West Bengal after a worker was allegedly raped.
She found that the hospital's security, like surveillance cameras, wasn't good enough.
She met with the hospital staff and the person who made the complaint.
She also said that other women reported they were sexually abused too, some a long time ago.
The NCW will continue to watch the case closely to help ensure women working in hospitals are safe.
NCW member Archana Majumdar inspected a hospital in West Bengal following an alleged rape.
Majumdar found "insufficient" security measures, including inadequate CCTV coverage.
The prime suspect, a hospital employee, was arrested after a police complaint.
