Special Aadhaar Process Helps Elderly Latur Farmers Access Loan Waiver
Some older farmers have fingerprints that Aadhaar machines cannot read.
A new process will help them prove who they are.
Farmers should visit an Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra with their Aadhaar card and bank passbook.
They must first try using different fingers three times.
If that does not work, they can select the option saying authentication is not possible.
The service-centre operator will then use the operator’s own fingerprint for the process.
A Tehsildar will check the farmer’s documents, including the bank passbook and 7/12 extract.
If everything is correct, eligible farmers will receive their loan-waiver benefits in their bank accounts.
A special Aadhaar procedure has been introduced for elderly farmers and those with unrecordable fingerprints.
Farmers must visit an Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra with their Aadhaar card and bank passbook.
They must try authentication with different fingers at least three times if the first match fails.
After repeated failure, the centre operator will authenticate the farmer using the operator’s own fingerprint.
The Tehsildar will verify documents, after which eligible loan-waiver benefits will be credited online.
