Parasakthi Box Office Struggles in Second Week
Parasakthi is a Tamil movie starring Sivakarthikeyan.
It started well at the box office, making ₹12.5 crore on the first day.
But then, the money it made each day went down a lot.
By the 11th day, it only made ₹26 lakh.
The total so far is ₹49.76 crore, which is less than half of what the movie cost to make.
The makers sold the rights to show the movie online and on TV for a lot of money, which will help them recover some of their costs.
The director, Sudha Kongara, initially wanted to include cameos from actors like Abhishek Bachchan and Vijay Deverakonda but later changed her plan to focus on the story.
The movie features cameos from actors representing different language industries.
Parasakthi opened with ₹12.5 crore on Day 1 but saw a decline to ₹26 lakh by Day 11.
The film's total box office collection after 11 days is ₹49.76 crore, significantly below its ₹200 crore budget.
The OTT streaming rights were sold to ZEE5 for ₹52 crore, the biggest deal for a Sivakarthikeyan film.
Satellite rights were sold to Kalaignar TV for ₹30 crore, and audio rights to Saregama Music for ₹13 crore.
Director Sudha Kongara initially planned to include cameos from actors like Abhishek Bachchan and Vijay Deverakonda but later streamlined the idea to focus on the narrative.
