Seven Former Australia Captains Appeal for Imran Khan's Well-Being
Seven former Australian cricket captains wrote to Penny Wong about Imran Khan.
Khan is a former Pakistan cricket captain and prime minister who is detained in Pakistan.
The captains said they were worried about his well-being.
They explained that they were speaking as former sports leaders, not politicians or diplomats.
They did not say whether Khan's legal or political case was right or wrong.
Instead, they said every detained person should be treated humanely.
They said similar concerns had been made public twice in the previous six months.
They asked the Australian Government to discuss the issue with Pakistani officials.
