Kerala Cabinet Approves Land Leases for Memorial Institutes

The Kerala government has decided to give land to build memorial institutes for two former ministers, K M Mani and Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.

The land will be leased for 30 years.

K M Mani was a finance minister and the founder of a political party called Kerala Congress (M).

Kodiyeri Balakrishnan was a state secretary and also served as the Home Minister.

The decision was made during a meeting led by the current Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan.

Some people think this might be related to upcoming elections, but the son of K M Mani says his party will continue to support the current government.
