Pune Metro Expansion: New Line Proposed
A politician named Shrirang Barne asked the central government to plan a new metro line in Pune.
He wants the metro to go from Kiwale to Chaturshrungi, passing through places like Ravet and Dange Chowk.
He met with a minister to talk about this.
He said Pune is growing fast, and there are too many cars causing traffic problems.
The new metro line would help people move around more easily.
Right now, there are some metro lines in Pune, and one is being extended.
Barne thinks this new line is important for schools, homes, and factories in the area.
He wants the government to start planning this new metro line soon.
Shiv Sena MP Shrirang Barne requested a new metro route from Kiwale to Chaturshrungi via Ravet and Dange Chowk.
The request was made to address rapid population growth and traffic congestion in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Barne met with Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to discuss the proposal.
Current metro routes in Pune include Dapodi to Pimpri, with an extension from Nigdi to Bhakti Shakti Chowk underway.
