WBSSC Launches New Portal Amidst Examinee Struggles for SLST Results
West Bengal is trying to hire new teachers for high school classes.
The organization in charge, called WBSSC, released test results, but their website was very crowded, and many people couldn't see their scores.
So, they opened a new website to help everyone find their results.
This hiring is happening because a high court said many old teacher jobs were not fair.
The people who passed this new test will get to have interviews to show they are good teachers.
After interviews and checking their papers, new teachers should be hired soon, possibly by December.
The WBSSC hopes many good, 'untainted' teachers, meaning those not involved in any past problems, will be hired.
The WBSSC launched a new website (wbsschelpdesk.com) due to difficulties examinees faced accessing results on the old portal.
Results for the State Level Selection Test (SLST) for assistant teachers in classes 11-12 were released on Friday evening.
The recruitment aims to fill 12,514 assistant teacher vacancies in state-run and state-aided schools.
This is the first recruitment exam held after the Supreme Court cancelled 25,753 previous appointments.
Candidates who clear the test will proceed to interviews, followed by document verification for final appointments.
