Canada Child Benefit 2026: First Payment on January 20
The Canada Child Benefit (CCB) is a monthly payment from the Canadian government to help families with kids under 18.
The first payment for 2026 is on January 20.
The amount you get depends on your family's income and the ages of your children.
Families with lower incomes get more money.
The maximum amount is about $666.41 per month for each child under 6 and $562.33 for each child aged 6 to 17.
Families with children who have disabilities can get extra money through the Child Disability Benefit (CDB).
