Mamata Apologizes, Takes Action After Messi Event Chaos
On December 13, there was a big football event in Kolkata with Lionel Messi.
But there was a lot of chaos and people were upset.
The Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, said she was sorry and set up a team to find out what went wrong.
She also punished some people, like the police chief and the event organizer.
The Sports Minister, who was also involved, quit his job.
The opposition parties say this is not enough and want more people to be punished.
Mamata did all this quickly because she didn't want people to be more angry, especially before the next elections.
Chaos erupted at Lionel Messi's event at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on December 13.
Mamata Banerjee apologized and set up an inquiry committee headed by Justice Ashim Kumar Ray.
Event organizer Shatadru Dutta was arrested, and disciplinary actions were taken against police officials.
Sports Minister Aroop Biswas resigned to ensure an impartial probe.
Opposition parties demand arrests of Biswas and Fire Services Minister Sujit Bose, calling government actions a 'drama'.
