Andhra CM urges banks to aid MSMEs
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, had a meeting with bankers.
He asked them to help small and medium businesses (MSMEs) more, especially those from BC, SC, and ST communities.
He also reviewed the progress of loans given to farmers and MSMEs.
The government has saved a lot of money by changing the payment schedules of some loans.
He wants bankers to support natural farming and help MSMEs grow, which will help the whole state develop.
Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu urged banks to support MSMEs, especially those from BC, SC, and ST communities.
Loans worth ₹2.96 lakh crore were extended to agriculture and allied sectors under the Annual Credit Plan FY26.
₹1,490 crore in agricultural loans were provided to tenant farmers, and ₹95,714 crore were sanctioned to MSMEs.
Naidu mentioned that loans worth ₹2 lakh crore in Andhra Pradesh can be rescheduled, with ₹49,000 crore already rescheduled, saving ₹1,108 crore.
The CM sought bankers' support to expand natural farming and prioritize MSMEs to boost the state's overall development.
