Amit Shah ready for detailed response as Parliament logjam persists

In India's Parliament, the government and the opposition are having a big argument that is stopping work.

In July, police in Delhi stopped students who were peacefully protesting, and some of them got hurt, including by pellet guns.

The opposition wants Home Minister Amit Shah to explain in Parliament what happened and who gave the order.

It also wants to talk about money that it says went missing from the famous Ram temple in Ayodhya.

The government said Amit Shah is ready to give a detailed answer about the students' issues, but it said no to talking about the temple money.

The opposition leaders said both topics are too important to give up on.

There was also a shouting match between the two groups at Parliament's main gate over police action on young job seekers in the state of Jharkhand.

The opposition said that is a separate issue, while the ruling side said the opposition is changing its demands every day.

Because the two sides cannot agree, Parliament keeps getting paused for the day.

Everyone needs to solve this soon so Parliament can finish its important work before the session ends on Thursday.
