Mumbai Metro Line 4 Phase 1 Nears Completion
The Mumbai Metro Line 4 is being built to help people travel around the city.
Around 60% of the first part of the line is finished.
The builders have completed the elevated tracks, put up the girders, and laid the tracks on a good portion of the route.
They've also started testing the electricity for the trains.
The first part will have 10 stations and is 10.5 km long.
The government plans to test the trains in September and hopes that passengers can start using them by the end of the year.
MMRDA has completed about 60% of the elevated corridor construction for Metro Line 4 Phase 1.
Construction of 6.9 km of the elevated viaduct has been finished.
Girders and track-laying are completed between six stations.
Electrification and testing of overhead wires have begun.
