Bhatti criticizes KTR over El Niño and Medigadda barrage
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka criticized BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) for blaming the state government for drought-like conditions caused by El Niño.
Bhatti explained that El Niño is a global weather phenomenon and cannot be controlled by any state government.
He also questioned the BRS government about the structural failure of the Medigadda barrage, part of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, which developed serious problems within three years.
Bhatti contrasted this with older irrigation projects like the Sripada Yellampalli Project and the Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP), which have lasted for decades.
He accused KTR of trying to mislead the public and asserted that the Congress government is ready to present facts about its development and welfare programs.
