Districts Challenge CAB Election Voter Eligibility Ahead of AGM

Districts Challenge CAB Election Voter Eligibility Ahead of AGM

Six districts have complained about how voting eligibility is being handled in the Cricket Association of Bengal.

They are concerned about people who are over 70 or have served for nine years.

The districts say these people should not be allowed to vote in the elections.

A CAB official says the association’s constitution allows them to vote.

However, the same rules prevent them from becoming office-bearers or committee members.

The disputed elections concern three posts.

The annual general meeting is planned for September 24.

The meeting may happen, but the elections might not.

More districts could send similar complaints.
