Derek O'Brien alleges censorship as 200-plus Parliament questions disallowed

Derek O'Brien is a politician who works in India's Parliament, the place where the country's leaders make decisions.

In Parliament, politicians are allowed to ask the government questions about important topics.

O'Brien says that more than 200 of his questions were stopped and not allowed to be asked.

He calls this 'censorship,' which means stopping people from sharing or asking information.

He showed a picture from a government website with 207 questions marked as 'disallowed.'

His questions were about serious things like terrorist attacks, people losing their jobs, and hate crimes.

Other politicians, like Manish Tewari and Vivek Tankha from the Congress party, said the same thing happened to some of their questions.

Another politician named V S Matheswaran also said his questions about student protests were stopped.

Many politicians think this is unfair, because asking questions is how they make sure the government is doing its job.

They want the government to answer their questions so the people of India can know the truth.
