Birbhum Gets Rs 508 Crore Plan to Upgrade Two Highways

Birbhum district in West Bengal is set to get improvements to two highways.

The government has approved Rs 508.66 crore for the work.

One project will improve 91.90 kilometres of NH-14, from Bhimgarh to Nalhati through Mallarpur.

The other will improve 56.40 kilometres of NH-114, from Surul Village to Mallarpur.

Some parts of the roads will be widened, and the existing roads will be strengthened.

The changes are meant to help vehicles travel more smoothly.

They are also intended to make journeys safer and reduce delays.

Better roads could help people and businesses move goods around the district.
