NATO Tensions Rise Over Greenland
There's a big argument between the United States and Denmark about Greenland, a large island that's part of Denmark.
The U.S. President, Donald Trump, wants the U.S. to take control of Greenland because he thinks it's important for protecting the country.
Denmark and Greenland say that's not okay because it's their land.
They had a meeting to talk about it, and even though they didn't solve the problem, they agreed to keep talking.
Denmark and Greenland are also getting more military support from other countries to show that they're serious about protecting their land.
The U.S. says if they don't get Greenland, other countries like Russia or China might try to take it, which they don't want to happen.
Russia thinks the U.S. and its allies are being aggressive and says the Arctic should be a place for peace and cooperation.
U.S. President Donald Trump insists NATO should support U.S. control of Greenland for national security.
Denmark and Greenland reject U.S. attempts to acquire Greenland, citing sovereignty concerns.
A working group will be established to address issues related to Greenland and U.S. concerns.
Denmark and Greenland are open to U.S. military presence but have set 'red lines' that cannot be crossed.
NATO countries, including Germany, France, Sweden, Norway, and the UK, are deploying troops to Greenland to support Denmark and Greenland.
