India's Dairy Exports Surge in FY25
India is really good at making milk.
In the year 2025, they sold a lot more milk to other countries than before.
They made $490 million from selling milk, which is almost double what they made last year.
This shows that India is becoming a bigger player in the global milk market.
The government thinks that next year, India will supply even more milk to the world, about 32% of all the milk.
This is great news because it means India is not just making more milk but also selling more of it to other countries.
India's dairy exports reached $490 million in FY25, up from $273 million in FY24.
Export volumes increased to 113,350.4 tonnes in FY25 from 63,738.47 tonnes in FY24.
India's share in the global milk supply is projected to rise to 32% in FY26 from 25% in FY25.
The surge in exports indicates that production is no longer the primary constraint.
The data is sourced from the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority.
