Maharashtra Pledges Safer, Smarter Boiler Industry Growth

Maharashtra’s government says it wants boilers to be safer and work better.

Boilers are used in many industries, including power, textiles and food processing.

Labour Minister Akash Fundkar said companies should use technology to spot problems before equipment breaks.

He also announced plans for a training centre in Nagpur that could become a Centre of Excellence.

The centre is intended to help people learn skills needed in the boiler industry.

Textile Minister Sanjay Savkare said companies should follow technical rules when making and testing boilers.

These announcements were made at Boiler India 2026, an industry event in Navi Mumbai.

The event brought together about 246 exhibitors from India and other countries.
