Harish Rao Accuses Congress of Cutting Farm Power
Harish Rao, a leader from the BRS party, said the Congress government is making farmers sad by giving them electricity for only 12 hours a day.
He visited a power station and saw records showing this reduced supply.
He also said that the government is not taking care of the water system built by the previous government, causing water shortages in many areas.
The government, however, says there are no power cuts.
Rao mentioned that power generation at two big plants has stopped, making the situation worse for farmers.
Harish Rao accuses Congress of reducing farm power supply to 12 hours daily.
Official records at Solepet substation show only 12 hours of agricultural power supply.
Government accused of halting 1,870 MW of power generation at Yadadri and Bhadradri thermal plants.
