Jalgaon Collector Links Gandhian Values to Capable Future Generation
A peace march was held in Jalgaon to remember Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
District Collector Rohan Ghuge said Gandhi’s ideas are still useful today.
He spoke about peace, non-violence, self-reliance, cleanliness and helping others.
He said people should try to live by these values, not just talk about them.

Another programme celebrated India’s many languages and cultures while sharing the message that everyone is one.
District Collector Rohan Ghuge said Gandhian ideals of non-violence, peace and goodwill remain essential amid global conflict and instability.
He urged people to embrace Swadeshi, cleanliness, rural development, traditional occupations, voluntary labour and social commitment.
The Gandhi Research Foundation organised the Ahimsa-Sadbhavana-Shanti Yatra to mark Gandhi Jayanti, Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti and the International Day of Non-Violence.
Hundreds of residents, students and organisations participated, with a cotton-spinning tableau and performances highlighting Gandhian ideas.
The Bharat Ki Santan programme showcased unity in diversity through 18 constitutionally recognised languages, regional clothing and cultural traditions.
