Two More Tiger Deaths in Assam, Raising Conservation Concerns
Two tigers were found dead in a wildlife park in India, a grown-up and a baby tiger.
This brings the total of tigers that have died in the area this year to five.
The adult tiger might have died naturally, but the baby tiger might have been hurt by another tiger.
These tigers are an endangered species and protected by law, so experts are worried about what is happening and how to help save the tigers.
The last count showed that there are around 100 tigers living in the park.
Two tiger carcasses, an adult and a cub, were discovered in Kaziranga National Park.
These findings bring the total tiger deaths in Assam this year to five.
One tiger died approximately 10 days prior to discovery; the cause of death is under investigation.
Preliminary findings suggest the cub's death was due to injuries from another tiger.
The Royal Bengal tiger is listed as "endangered" and protected under Indian law.
