Mesram Adivasi Plan English-Medium School Upgrade With College
The Mesram Adivasi community has started a school near the Nagoba temple.
They want to make it bigger and eventually add a college and hostel.
Community members will donate money to support the plan.
The school currently teaches nearly 71 children up to Class 4 in English.
Orphaned Adivasi children can study there for free.
The school also helps students prepare for Navodaya, Sainik and Ekalavya schools.
Leaders say they want children to receive good education and compete in a changing world.
They also want students to continue valuing their traditional languages.
The school is run without seeking profit.
The Mesram Adivasi clan plans to expand Sri Nagoba School of Excellence into a college with hostel facilities.
The initiative will be funded through voluntary donations, following the community’s ₹6 crore contribution to the Nagoba temple.
The school began this year beside the temple and currently has nearly 71 students through Class 4.
Orphaned Adivasi children receive free education, while the school charges other families a nominal fee.
