Hyderabad to Plant 2.5 Million Trees in 2025 Drive
The city of Hyderabad is planning a massive tree-planting event called Anamahothsavam 2025.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) wants to plant 25 lakh new trees.
They'll plant them in parks, along roads, and in open areas.
They will also fix up existing parks by planting more trees.
The goal is to make Hyderabad even greener and encourage people to join in, hoping to maintain its reputation as a Green City.
GHMC plans to plant 25 lakh saplings in Hyderabad under Anamahothsavam 2025.
Plantations will occur in parks, residential areas, road medians, and open spaces.
The initiative includes gap-filling in nearly 1,500 existing parks.
The program emphasizes planting tall trees and shrubbery for green cover.
Citizens are encouraged to participate in the plantation drive.
