Musk Discusses Ageing and Mars at Davos 2026
Elon Musk went to a big meeting in Davos and talked about two main things: getting older and going to Mars.
He said that getting old is something that happens to everyone, but scientists might find ways to make people live longer or even reverse ageing.
Musk also thinks that living much longer could make society less exciting and more stuck in its ways.
He joked that he wants to die on Mars, but not when the spaceship first lands.
SpaceX plans to send robots to Mars first and then people later.
The trip to Mars takes six months each way, and the best time to go is every two years when the planets line up.
Elon Musk made his first appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos 2026.
Musk discussed the possibility of reversing ageing and its potential societal impacts.
He explained that ageing is a synchronized process across all cells in the body.
Musk expressed concerns about societal stagnation if people live much longer.
He also reiterated his intention to travel to Mars once SpaceX's Starship is operational.
